Breathtaking Fjord Views & Once-In-A-Lifetime Moments

Explore tranquil landscapes, wander through art-filled streets, and savor culinary delights as you venture through enchanting Norway. With its stunning natural beauty and vibrant urban experiences, the country offers a unique blend of history and culture. Discover world-famous landmarks, indulge in exquisite local dishes, and immerse yourself in the rich traditions of each destination you visit.

Trip highlights:

1. Welcome to Amsterdam! Before boarding your cruise, step straight into the city’s iconic charm, from the cobbled streets of the Jordaan district, lined with boutiques and Canalside cafés, to a warm slice of Dutch apple pie paired with perfect coffee. Explore the Van Gogh Museum for an intimate look at the artist’s turbulent genibraus, or take in cutting-edge exhibits at the Stedelijk. Drift through the city on a canal that reveals Amsterdam from an entirely new point of view.

2. Sail to Stavanger, Norway! The city is a mix of old and new, charming and stylish with an eclectic collection of merchant shops, cafes and historic museums and churches. The Stavanger Cathedral is the country's oldest cathedral, having been built between 1100 and 1125. An easy day hike on Pulpit Rock, the cliff rising over 1800 feet above the sea, offers gorgeous views of the Lysefjord and the surrounding lush terrain.

3. Continue to Bergen, former Viking stronghold girded by deep fjords, towering mountains and sweeping glaciers. Visit Bryggen Wharf, where you can strike a bargain in one of the many artisans' workshops, or visit the famous Fish Market for a real treat. Bergen specialties include fish soup, cured salmon, herring, shrimp, and venison. Be sure to try the “skillingsbolle”, a sinfully good cinnamon roll. Hop aboard the city’s funicular and climb some 1,000 feet above sea level. As sweeping views of the city, the surrounding mountains and glistening fjords envelop you; it’s impossible not to marvel at the beauty of Bergen.

4. Wander through Olden! Much of this picturesque town, located at the tip of the Nordfjord, looks as though it is straight out of the 17th century. Its many historic sites include Olden Old Church, built in 1759 on the site of the original stave church dating back to the 14th century, and the Singer Home, former residence of American painter William Singer. Explore the lush, verdant scenery of Lake Olden and experience its tranquility on a relaxing sightseeing cruise, or trek through the Norwegian wild to Briksdal Glacier, an arm of the largest glacier in continental Europe.

5. Visit Alesund! Its turrets, spires, and other whimsical art nouveau architectural touches give the town its distinctive, fairytale-like character. Don’t forget to visit scenic Geiranger Fjord- one of Norway’s best-known attractions is just a stone’s throw from this quaint little town. Ages of glacial erosion have given way to sculpted, towering mountainsides upon which flow numerous, dramatic waterfalls. To fully capture the depth of beauty in this seaside town, a jaunt up Mount Aksla is in order. From there, you’ll have a bird’s-eye view of this colorful, magical place.
