Beyond the Horizon: Your Journey to the Edge of Space
When you hear “Travel Beyond What You Thought Possible,” what comes to mind?
Perhaps a place you never imagined reaching. A perspective you never thought you would see. For example, a six-hour journey that takes you 25 kilometres above Earth, where you can look down and see the curvature of our planet.
We’re beyond excited to invite you step aboard Zephalto’s Céleste for a stratospheric voyage to witness a view few have ever experienced.
Imagine rising silently through the atmosphere, watching the blue sky deepen into darkness as the horizon slowly curves beneath you. Below, an entire world stretches into view. Inside your private capsule, a gourmet dinner is served, French wine is poured, and for a few extraordinary hours, you have a front-row seat to the planet itself.
The journey to the stratosphere begins on the ground, with the very best of France. Discover the cultural depth and timeless elegance of Paris. Venture into the vineyards and centuries-old chalk cellars of Champagne, where French savoir-faire has been perfected over generations. Continue to Toulouse, the heart of France’s aerospace story, where the technology and ambition behind space exploration come to life.
And then, go higher.
Trip highlights:
1. Start your adventure in Paris! Check-in at Shangri-La Paris. Once home to Prince Roland Bonaparte, this historic palace pairs grand French architecture with the warmth and discretion of Asian hospitality. From your Eiffel View Room, the city’s most recognisable landmark provides an immediate sense of place.
After time to settle in, meet your private guide for a leisurely walk along the Seine, shaped around your interests. Follow the river past graceful bridges, historic quays and storied neighbourhoods, pausing as Paris reveals itself at street level.
2. Continue to Champagne! Travel east to Reims and step inside Notre-Dame de Reims, the Gothic cathedral in which 25 French kings were crowned. Continue through the vine-covered hills for a private visit with a local producer, revealing the terroir and craftsmanship behind Champagne.
In Épernay, descend into Moët & Chandon’s vast chalk cellars for a guided tasting before ending in Hautvillers - the hilltop village where Dom Pérignon served as cellar master at the Benedictine abbey.
3. Your next stop – Toulouse! After a private transfer to the station, travel first class by rail to Toulouse. On arrival, meet your private driver-guide and continue to Cité de l’Espace, one of Europe’s leading centres for public space discovery.
Stand beneath the full-scale Ariane 5, explore a replica of the Mir space station and encounter the hardware behind lunar exploration. LuneXplorer recreates the 2G sensations of an astronaut launch, while immersive planetarium and IMAX presentations carry the journey deeper into the universe.
4. Before travelling north to Chambord, gain an insider’s perspective on CNES, France’s space agency, with an expert guide. Discover how the Toulouse Space Centre develops and operates orbital systems, supports Earth-observation missions and tracks objects in orbit.
This final encounter with the infrastructure behind modern spaceflight brings the Toulouse chapter to a close. Continue by private vehicle to Chambord, an approximately 5-hour 30-minute journey, where Zephalto’s 48-hour Signature programme begins with five-star accommodation near the spaceport and preparation with the pilot and crew.
5. Enjoy a six-hour stratospheric voyage designed to give you time with the view! The capsule rises gently beneath a stratospheric balloon at approximately four metres per second. During the 90-minute ascent, the sky deepens from blue towards black and Earth’s curvature gradually comes into view.
At approximately 25 kilometres, Céleste spends around three hours at apogee, creating time to dine, observe and share the perspective before beginning a gradual 90-minute descent.
Inside the pressurised capsule, the experience is shaped around stillness, comfort and uninterrupted sightlines. A three-metre panoramic window opens an immense arc of Earth below, while the gentle, silent ascent keeps the journey calm throughout.
At 25 kilometres, the view extends across approximately 1,400 kilometres. The effect is closer to a private salon suspended above the planet than a conventional spacecraft cabin. In the stratosphere, an exclusive gourmet dinner and drinks are served against the curvature of Earth, accompanied by a guided tasting of French wines selected by a renowned sommelier.
